Keppel Shipyard shows up as recurring cluster, 1 of 2 new Covid-19 clusters in S'pore

The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced a total of two new clusters on June 24.

Two new clusters identified

Three of the newly confirmed cases are linked to form a new cluster at Keppel Shipyard (51 Pioneer Sector 1).

This is the second time a cluster has formed at the location.

It was first announced as a cluster on Apr. 2 with three cases (Cases 878, 898 and 907).

The cluster then closed on May 29 as there had been no more cases linked to it for the past two incubation periods (i.e. 28 days).

Five of the newly confirmed cases are linked to two previous cases to form another new cluster at a dormitory at 52 Tech Park Crescent.

June 24 update

The Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed an additional 191 cases of Covid-19 infection in Singapore on June 24.

There are seven cases in the community, of whom two are Singaporeans, two are Work Pass holders, and three are Work Permit holders.

Of the seven cases in the community, four had been picked up as a result of proactive surveillance and screening.

The remaining three cases had been tested when they sought medical treatment.
