All movie theatres in Singapore have temporarily suspended operations since Mar. 26, 2020.

And after close to two months, some may expect the empty theatres in Singapore to look a little like this:

Fortunately, this isn't the case for Shaw Theatres in Singapore.

Cinema in great condition

On May 18, Shaw Theatres shared some updates on Facebook regarding the condition of their cinema carpets and seats after 53 days of temporary closure.

According to them, the cinemas are in "great condition".

All thanks to cleaning staff

And the carpet, as well as leather chairs, all look good as new thanks to the cleaning staff who have been working throughout the circuit breaker period.

"All thanks to the cleaning staff from essential companies, working during this period regularly to help upkeep our cinemas until we are back.

We are extremely grateful for their help and all the other essential workers during this period of uncertainty."
