As more people are staying at home, some have gotten creative with their daily meals.

This includes making cereal out of mini cookies.

Viral cookie cereal

On May 7, food blogger Justin Schuble (also known as @dcfoodporn) shared a cookie cereal recipe.

The video has since gained more than 345,000 views and over 25,000 likes.

It has also gained popularity on social media platform TikTok.

It is, essentially, mini-sized cookies soaked in milk.

If you need a recipe, here's a quick guide.

Ingredients

  • Cookie dough: You can choose to use readymade cookie dough or follow this Famous Amos-inspired recipe.
  • Milk.

Method

  1. After making the cookie dough, shape it into even, thumb-sized balls.

  2. Place it evenly on a baking tray like this:

  3. Place the baking tray in an oven preheated at 175°C for seven minutes. Let it cool for a while before serving.
  4. Pour some of the mini cookies in a bowl with milk.

Alternatively, these mini cookies can make good toppings for ice cream or frozen yoghurt.

But just in case you're really not bothered to make your own cookies, you can always have this:
