On Monday (Apr. 20), Singapore Red Cross shared on Facebook that they delivered over 50,000 masks and hand sanitisers today to migrant worker dormitories islandwide.

As the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 has gone up amongst Work Permit holders residing in worker dormitories, many community initiatives have popped up in Singapore.

Coordinated effort between S'pore Red Cross & Covid Migrant Support Coalition

The Singapore Red Cross shared the info on their Facebook page.

The donation was supported by the Singapore Red Cross and was a coordinated effort by the following groups:

• Project Chulia Street
• Covid Migrant Support Coalition (a group of four NGOs)

  • Migrant x Me
  • Itsrainingraincoats
  • Citizen Adventures 
  • Singapore Migrant Friends

In the post, it was added that more masks will be shared with dormitories in the upcoming weeks.
