McDonald's will be closed till May 4, 2020.

This will impact at least 10,000 employees, and see the closure of over 130 restaurants.

In response to Mothership's queries, McDonald's confirmed that they will continue to pay salaries to all employees whose roles are disrupted.

"We are extremely grateful to all our employees for their hard work during these challenging times. We will continue to pay salaries to all employees whose roles are disrupted. The next two weeks will allow our employees to stay home and be rest assured that their jobs are secure."

This is the first time McDonald's has closed all their outlets in Singapore.

"Yes, these are indeed unprecedented times for us. This is a preventative action as our nation continues its fight against COVID-19. Our priority now is to stay united with the rest of Singapore to flatten the curve – and we look forward to serving Singapore again on May 5."
