That's not how it works.

A man in Singapore has been called out for breaching circuit breaker measures — after thanking healthcare workers on his Instagram account.

The user, who identified himself as a 26-year-old undergraduate on his profile, has since changed his Instagram handle.

Thanking healthcare workers

On Apr. 25, the student posted to Instagram Stories that he had done his part after the "Home" singalong.

He also expressed how touched he was at the efforts of healthcare workers.

In another story, however, the student featured another young man cooking for him.

Earlier posts also showed friends "delivering" food to him, with the hashtags #stayhome and #houseparty.

Under circuit breaker measures, which kicked in on Apr. 7, Singapore residents are not allowed to have visitors from other households.

When the student was called out by a follower, he allegedly blocked her from his Instagram Stories.

However, the confrontation took place on Apr. 15, before the posts above.

On Apr. 26, a woman known as Faith posted the screenshots to Facebook.

"Sorry but you don't get to stick the "stay home" and "thanks health heroes" sticker on your instastories, and also #stayhome on your posts and still ask your friends to come over to cook for you and to play poker with you.

Faith had previously spoken to him over Instagram, and implied that she was not the only one to have done so.

According to Faith, the student replied that he was "lonely", and blocked those who confronted him.

Even though some who opposed the man's actions tried to report the incident via the OneService app, Faith said that the app "doesn't work at all", and she had to resort to posting about it on Facebook.

At time of writing, the post has gotten over 1,100 shares.
