Blowing up on social media big time (Facebook link here) is an offer to deliver old-school street hawker ice cream in blocks from Joo Chiat right to your doorstep.

The cost? S$4 per block.

The retailer is Chip Guan Heng, one of Singapore’s oldest ice cream distributors established since 1970, who has turned to Facebook to advertise their supply of ice cream:

Even though the blocks of frozen goodness are clearly labelled, "Only for sale to licensed ice cream hawkers, not for door to door resale", all previous rules governing the economy and how it should operate have gone out the window this Covid-19 pandemic.

Ice cream distributors, after all, also need to eat.

The usual recommended selling price is S$8 -- but that's not a rule, just a suggestion.

To make sure people can stuff their faces, Chip Guan Heng is throwing in free delivery for orders of S$80 and above -- but will deliver with a minimum order of S$50, but that means you have to pay for delivery.

So consolidate those orders now.
