618 new Covid-19 cases in S'pore on April 25, taking total to 12,693

More information will be released tonight.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 618 new cases of Covid-19 in Singapore on April 25 afternoon.

Total number of cases at 12,693

This brings the total number of cases to 12,693.

The vast majority are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

Seven cases are Singaporeans/Permanent Residents (PRs).

Further updates will be shared in a separate MOH release tonight.

Drop in daily increase and community cases

After four consecutive days of four-digit increases in new cases, this is the second notable drop in the daily increase.

The first notable drop was on April 24, with 897 new cases of infection.

  • April 20: 1,426
  • April 21: 1,111
  • April 22: 1,016
  • April 23: 1,037
  • April 24: 897
  • April 25: 618 (preliminary figure)

The number of cases involving Singaporeans and PRs is also lower than the number reported in the past few days.

  • April 20: 18
  • April 21: 20
  • April 22: 15
  • April 23: 22
  • April 24: 13
  • April 25: 7 (preliminary figure)
