Covid-19: 897 new cases preliminarily confirmed on Apr. 24, totalling at 12,075

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminary confirmed 897 new cases of Covid-19 in Singapore on April 24 afternoon.

This brings the total number of cases to 12,075.

The vast majority are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

13 cases are Singaporeans/ Permanent Residents (PRs).

Further updates will be shared in a separate MOH release tonight.

Drop in daily increase and community cases

After four consecutive days of four-digit increase in new cases, this is a notable drop in the daily increase.

The number of community cases, involving Singaporeans and PRs, is also lower than the number reported in the past few days.
