In a Facebook post on Feb. 28, fast food chain Long John Silver's Singapore announced the closure of its Bugis outlet.
Long John Silver's Bugis outlet has closed
The notice said the outlet located at Bugis Village will be closed from March 4, 2020.
The post explained that the closure was due to the upcoming revamp of Bugis Street and Bugis Village.
For those who enjoy hanging out or work in the vicinity, you will have to travel to Leisure Park Kallang if you crave for Long John Silver's next time.
Earlier this year in January, it was reported that Bugis Street and Bugis Village will be taken over by CapitaLand.
Bugis Street will be integrated with Bugis Village, with additions of a day-to-night marketplace, container shops, co-working areas, as well as a retail incubator that houses new concepts from both new and established brands.
CapitaLand will be managing the space for three years, starting from April 1, 2020.
Existing tenants at Bugis Village and Bugis Street can continue operating for a year at the prevailing rent until March 31, 2021.
