There have been no new cases of the Wuhan virus reported as of Feb. 2, at 2:00pm, announced the Ministry of Health (MOH) today (Feb. 2).

The total number of confirmed cases remains 18. There is currently no evidence of community spread in Singapore.

All 18 patients are in stable condition, and most are improving.

MOH provided an update on the 18th case that was announced yesterday (Feb. 1).

The patient is a 31 year- old female Chinese national who arrived in Singapore from Wuhan on Jan. 22. She is currently warded in an isolation room at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID).

She reported that she was asymptomatic during her flight to Singapore.

She was a travelling companion of the 12th confirmed case and was identified as a close contact on Jan. 30, said the ministry.

She reported that she had not left her room at Home Suite View Hotel at 12 Lorong 12 Geylang until she was transferred to a government quarantine facility (GQF) in the early hours of Jan. 31.

She was subsequently conveyed by an ambulance to NCID on Jan. 31, where she was immediately isolated.

Subsequent test results confirmed on Feb. 1 that she was infected with the virus.
