Woman calls pet bird "smelly idiot", gives it away on Carousell
A Facebook user shared screenshots of a Carousell listing on Monday (Feb. 10) in the "STOP Animal Abuse in SG" group, exposing a seller who put their pet bird up to give away.

The seller put up the listing as "Giving away this smelly idiot", indicating that she was giving it away for free.

The seller wrote in the description that she wanted to get rid of the bird as it bit her husband's finger.

She added that she preferred to give the bird away to a "very fierce owner who can show this idiot who is the boss".
The Carousell listing has since been taken down.
According to a Facebook user who contacted the owner of the listing, the bird had already been given away on Feb. 9
Another user chimed in, adding that it was better that the pet bird was given away rather than being abused or killed by its former owner, and hoped that it was adopted into a better family.
