Recently a Singapore man, Samuel, was in the news for abusing his Pomeranian in a video he uploaded to his Facebook page.

The video was incredibly disturbing, showing the man hitting the dog with a helmet, before attempting to burn it a few times.

His actions sparked national outrage, with SPCA's post on the matter gaining over 6,300 shares.

The man, who appears to currently be based in Thailand, has apologised after the backlash.

In a video he uploaded to his Facebook page, he is accompanied by his girlfriend who translated his apology into Thai for him.

Here is the video.

In case you can't see it.

Basically, he claims he will turn himself in, and that the video of him abusing his dog is allegedly from a few months ago.

There's also this little moment.

A string of other videos and posts were uploaded both to Samuel and his girlfriend's Facebook pages, highlighting the well-being of the dog.

Samuel also uploaded a post claiming he is "sick", with pictures of a messed up living room attached.

He also initially wrote "I cut my dick cut my hand destroy my room beat my dog" instead of the final "I cut my hand destroy my room beat my dog".

The aforementioned Thai translator also posted updates of what appears to be them at a police station in Thailand, purportedly turning Samuel in.

It is however unclear if that was the exact reason they were at the police station in the first place.

And in what is perhaps the most confusing part of this entire fiasco, Samuel is seen in a video playing with a Pomeranian, which appears to be the one that was burnt, while at the police station.

Which proves, once and for all, dogs are too good for people.
