The Yishun Integrated Transport Hub (ITH) is opening on Sept. 8, 2019.

The hub, Singapore's 10th ITH, will have many inclusive facilities that cater to the elderly, the less mobile, and those with special needs.

The Yishun ITH is 100 per cent barrier-free.

Other features include:

  1. Dedicated boarding points at bus berths for passengers in wheelchairs.
  2. Graduated kerb edges for wheelchair access
  3. Priority queue zones with seats
  4. Nursing room
  5. Barrier-free toilets
  6. Quiet room for special needs commuters who need a calming space

Yishun ITH is also the first hub to have Heart Zones.

Set up by the Public Transport Council, these are meeting points where commuters who require assistance can seek help from passers-by or members of the public.

Heart Zones have also been implemented in other places in Yishun such as the Yishun MRT station and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

Cyclists can also benefit from the nearly 600 bicycle parking lots in the vicinity of the bus interchange.

Commuters can access the Yishun ITH from the Yishun MRT station via a barrier-free underpass. It is also integrated with Northpoint City.
