For conveyor belt sushi stores like Sushi Express, the bill is usually decided at the end of the meal when a staffer comes over and counts the plates on your table.
This guy, for example, might have to pay quite a lot.
But, the relative affordability of the dishes at Sushi Express (S$1.50++) means individual plates aren't really that excessive.
So with that in mind, the following video, uploaded on August 8, would have saved the Instagram user about S$5.
Here's the video.

The incident apparently took place at the Sushi Express in Westgate.
The video appears to suggest that the Instagram user, after a meal at Sushi Express, placed some of the plates inside his fanny pack and proceeded to dump the plates into a rubbish bin.
The Insta-Story preceding this showed him filming a friend, who was possibly with him, at this particular Sushi Express outlet.
But by Friday afternoon, the Insta-Story had been deleted from the man's Instagram account.
Most of the comments online regarding the video were less critical of the actual throwing — because once again while trying to avoid payment is wrong, this is like S$5 worth of food — but rather denouncing the act of filming what he did.
If you are looking to go to Sushi Express for a meal, there's a promotion going on right now though.
The promotion is only at Funan, White Sands and Fairprice HUB.
Whoa.
