News of a panty-sniffer who uploaded his escapades to Instagram exploded on Aug. 15, 2019.
On Aug. 16, the police confirmed that they have arrested a 34-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of public nuisance.
The police received multiple reports of the Instagram posts on Aug. 15.
Officers from Jurong Police Division managed to establish the identity of the man and arrested him on Aug. 16, at about 4.30am.
If convicted, the man faces a fine of up to S$1,000.

"The Police have arrested a 34-year-old man for his suspected involvement in a case of public nuisance.
2 On 15 August 2019, the Police received multiple reports of three Instagram posts uploaded by a man. In the postings, the man uploaded photos of himself sniffing female undergarments and performing lewd acts along the common corridor of a HDB block in Choa Chu Kang.
3 Through follow-up investigations, officers from Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him on 16 August 2019 at about 4.30am, less than eight hours after the first report was made. The offending posts have since been taken down.
4 The man will be charged in court on 17 August 2019 with public nuisance under Section 290 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224. If convicted, he faces a fine of up to $1,000."
