Fire took three hours to extinguish

The fire took about three hours in total to extinguish.

SCDF said its officers had to force their way into the units to contain it.

Additionally, three handheld water jets and an aerial water monitor were used to bring the fire under control.

Even some 13 hours later at 2:47pm, the time of the SCDF's post, its firefighters were still spraying more water at the site to ensure none of the charred surfaces would catch fire again.

Warehouse unit with e-scooters belonged to a PMD retailer

Lianhe Wanbao reported that the burnt unit with e-scooters belonged to a PMD and electric bicycle retailer called CJ International.

The damage was more serious in this unit.

As for the other unit, The Straits Times (ST) reported that it belonged to a lighting company called Sim's Lighting Gallery.

The SCDF said it's still investigating the cause of the fire.
