E-scooter causes fire in Tampines HDB living room while charging its battery

On July 3, 2019 at around 6:20pm, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) responded to a fire at Block 125, Tampines Street 11.

Here is the apparent fire as captured from the outside.

The fire was extinguished by SCDF firefighters using a water jet.

Here’s the living room after bearing the brunt of the fire.

The fire was caused by a Personality Mobility Device (PMD) that was being charged.
