National Day is great.

Not just because it's a reminder of how far Singapore has come, but because it's also a time where brands come up with all sorts of local offerings.

From Aug. 1 to 9, 2019, RedMart will be collaborating with Ice Cream & Cookie Co. to sell three ice cream flavours on Lazada: Onde Onde Ice Cream, Rojak Sorbet, and Peach Teh ‘O’ Sorbet.

Each three-cup pack (100ml each) costs S$9.90, and all flavours are dairy-free.

Here's a look at the flavours.

Local flavours

Out of the three, Rojak Sorbet stands out the most.

The dessert — made of green apple-cucumber sorbet with crushed peanuts — was surprisingly refreshing, and actually tasted less weird that it sounds.

The peach black tea sorbet and onde onde ice cream are good for those who are risk-averse.

The former features fresh peach sorbet infused with black tea:

While the latter consists of pandan ice cream with coconut mochi and gula melaka.

In fact, onde onde is one of the brand's more popular flavours.

Free things

If you're looking to stock-up, purchasing two packs (six ice creams) will get you a limited edition tote bag, available in three designs, for free.

And if you wish to try the ice cream for free (yes, free), head over to RedMart's event at 1-Altitude (at Raffles Place) on Aug. 1, from 11am while stocks last.
