Merdeka Generation (MG) residents are able to receive their first tranche of benefits from Monday, July 1.
This are the group of elderly who are born between 1950 and 1959.
S$100 PAssion Silver Card top-up
This will include a S$100 PAssion Silver Card top-up, which can be claimed anytime from July 1, 2019 until Dec. 31, 2020.
The top-up can be done at:
• 48 Transitlink ticket offices,
• Transitlink kiosks and
• add-value machines found at selected MRT stations and bus interchanges.
• temporary top-up booths at 25 selected community centres
• temporary top-up booths at selected MG roadshows and events
Add-value machine at selected locations. Tap on the “Merdeka” word on the screen. Press "Redeem All". Wait 10 secs.

Other MG benefits
Another benefit that has been unlocked is the first of five annual top-ups of S$200 in Medisave.
MG residents will also receive an additional 5 percent subsidy for annual MediShield Life premiums from July 1.
It will increase to 10 percent after their 75th birthday.
