Earlier this year, popular noodle snack brand Mamee released a new ghost pepper flavour instant noodles.

The special edition flavour was available until May 2019 at 7-Eleven outlets in Malaysia.

If you are up for the spicy noodle challenge, here's another one from Mamee.

This time, in the form of the Mamee Monster noodle snack.

In a Facebook post, one Malaysian called Zi Jian shared photos of a special edition of Mamee Monster noodle snack which has a different packaging from the usual bright yellow one.

The packaging also warns people to "eat at your own risk!" with a yellow round label that suggests the flavour might be too spicy for children.

The noodle snack also has an ominously dark shade of brown with tinges of red.

A snack version of the wildly popular ghost pepper flavour? Perhaps.

Where to buy

Many were enthusiastic about the find, and asked where to get this new flavour.

Someone else also tried this special edition and it was apparently really spicy.

Zi Jian shared that the snack was found in a special edition jumbo pack that has a Mamee Monster wearing shades on the packaging.

Aeon BiG in Kluang, Malaysia, apparently sells this jumbo pack.

He also mentioned that it should be available in supermarkets at Johor Bahru soon.
