LG is known for their home appliances and mobile phones.
What fewer people know for sure, however, is that LG is actually a Korean brand.
Which makes pushing out K-beauty products not that far-fetched.
On July 24, 2019, LG will be launching the Pra.L line in Singapore — a total of four devices that works to complement your skincare, and hopefully, shave a few years off your apparent age.
Shine bright like a person who just used an LED mask
The Derma LED Mask is easily one of the eyebrow-raising products (not just because it's a whopping S$1,349, of course).
The mask uses 160 LED lights (red and infrared types), which penetrates your skin beyond the epidermis to tighten and lift your skin — akin to doing squats on your face.
It's also supposed to make your skin radiant and brighter.
There is no pain.
Here's what you will look like wearing it:
With its lights on (safety goggles prevent irritation, although it is safe to look directly at the lights):
Treatment is nine minutes a day, and it's recommended that you put in on a clean and bare face.
Infinite home facials?
If that's not enough for you, the Pra.L line has three other products.
From left to right, they are the Dual Motion Cleanser, Galvanic Ion Booster, and Total Lift Up Care.
We're gonna say it — the Dual Motion Cleanser (S$449) does remind us of the Clarisonic in its look and function.
What's different, however, is that the brush's cradle emits a UV light that kills the bacteria on it, ensuring that you don't just swirl the dirt around your face during your next wash.
There are two brushes: A silicon one for everyday use, and a fine fibre brush for deep cleansing once a week.
Choose from two cleansing levels, one for light/ no make-up and the other for heavy make-up.
On the other hand, the Galvanic Ion Booster (S$529) has two functions: One for lifting impurities and the other for enhanced skincare absorption.
Some sort of science is going on there, but it basically uses to push and pull of ions to do its job.
Lastly, the Total Lift Up Care (S$699) works sort of like the LED mask.
There are also two modes: Tightening and lifting.
The former uses red LED lights, while the latter uses micro-currents to stimulate skin tissues.
The total cost for all the products add up to S$3,026 — about one to three packages of facial, depending on where you get them done.
Think of it as an investment for home facials — especially for the time-strapped bourgeoisie, we guess.
