Building purchased by family company

According to The Korea Heraldthe purchase was made by the Boram Family -- the family company that manages the two YouTube channels featuring Boram -- on April 3.

A certified copy of the real estate register was reported to show a figure of 258.3 square metres.

However, the Korea Times said that it is unclear as to what the building will be used for.

Two of the most profitable channels in South Korea

As for the two channels featuring Boram, they are Boram Tube Toys Review, with 13.6 million subscribers, and Boram Tube Vlog, with 17.6 million subscribers.

The Korea Herald further highlighted that these two channels hold the biggest slice of the pie for marketing profits among Korean YouTube channels.

The average monthly revenue coming from these channels has been estimated to be a combined amount of US$3.1 million (S$4.23 million).

Toy reviews and family life

Considering Boram's age, it is perhaps unsurprising that the content of both channels are targeted at children.

Boram Tube Toys Review focuses on the review of toys, while Boram Tube Vlog gives its audience a peek into the daily life of Boram and her family.

And it appears that the focus on children has been a huge hit.

The average viewership for their videos appears to be at least a few million, with Malaysian media Oriental Daily reporting that at least one video has hit as high as 300 million views.

Here are some of the more popular hits from both channels:
