Some Malaysians heading back home via Tuas Second Link experienced an unexpected jam on Friday night, July 26.

Serious accident at Tuas Second Link

The cause of the jam was due to a serious accident along the Second Link Expressway at about 10.35pm at the 10km mark towards Legoland Malaysia, before the Gelang Patah exit.

The collision involved a bus, motorcycle and a Singapore-registered car.

Photos circulating online showed the Singapore-registered BMW wrecked, after it appeared to have collided into the rear of a bus.

A motorcycle can be seen pinned underneath the bus as well.

Photos of the accident scene were taken by witnesses on the ground and shared online:

The cause of the accident is still unconfirmed.

However, a commuter claimed that the bus swerved suddenly and hit the white BMW on the right lane.

Other comments claimed that the BMW was speeding on the highway and filtered across three lanes:

A witness also reported two wounded men lying on the road.

The ambulance that apparently was travelling to the scene of the accident subsequently got stuck in the massive jam, delaying rescue efforts.
