Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was in Osaka this week for the G-20 summit, from June 27 to June 30, 2019.

Here are all the leaders seated in a circular table.

One of the main talking points of this summit is the issue of U.S.- China trade relations, and trade relations in general.

A point that Lee acknowledged in his post on June 30, 2019, and in his address at G20.

"At the plenary session, I spoke about the need to improve our multilateral trading system. We should work together to strengthen our global trading system’s foundations, develop new rules for the digital economy, and prepare our people and businesses to participate fully in the global economy."

He also reaffirmed bilateral relations with leaders from Brazil, the Netherlands, and India.

Singapore signed the Avoidance of Double Taxation Agreement (DTA) with Brazil in 2018.

Down time

Like any other Singaporean in the Osaka area though, Lee also visited Osaka.

Enjoying the food:

Taking pictures with the other Singaporeans who couldn't resist being in a crowd again:

And like any good tourist, doing the Gilco Man pose with his significant other:

The Glico Man is that huge running man hanging over Dotonbori, which has the hypnotic power of making tourists copy his pose.

Osaka Day 1. We arrived at Osaka right around 5:30 PM. After resting for a bit, I went to my first and most important stop in Osaka. Shuttle House badminton supply store. Hahaha. To be honest though, I was a little disappointed in their pricing and their selection. There weren't as many Japan only items as when I went to the Tokyo Yonex main store. After about an hour I left with far less than I expected to buy. I guess that's a good thing? Lol. Online, everyone says Osaka has great food. In all reality, FOOD REALLY IS AMAZING!!! For dinner tonight, we had fresh live crab at Kani Doraku, Cabbage Yaki at a small stall on the street, and Gyoza at Ohsho right after. I'll admit, food isn't the cheapest out here, but the quality and accessibility is second to none! On the way back to the hotel, I couldn't resist stopping at the Glico running man and taking a tourist photo. Drum roll please... here you guys go! Hahaha. #Osaka #Japan #Dotonbori #Glico #OsakaG20
