In a statement carried on her Weibo on June 27, 2019 Fan revealed the end of her relationship with Li.

Fan and Li both echoed similar sentiments in the final sentence of their respective Weibo posts.

First they thanked each other for the love and support they offered one another, and then ended the posts with this sentence.

"We may not be us anymore, but we are still us."
