Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) day is on July 1, 2019.

There are tons of promotions marking the day, you can view the list here.

One company that wanted to join in the goodwill is Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, or Coffee Bean as most Singaporeans might call them.

Their promotion involves 50 per cent off their small-sized iced blended drinks.

Wow, very cool.

There was a slight hiccup though. Nothing too major, just a case of using an image of a soldier from a completely different country.

Here it is.

Now some of you might have realised, that's not a Singapore Armed Forces uniform.

That is in fact, a soldier from China's navy.

Here's a picture of navy soldiers in China.

Image from China Daily

Yup, that's them.

The snafu was picked up almost immediately by commenters.

With one accurately predicting the reaction from our enciks in regard to the man's camo skills.

Coffee Bean did take the image down, and issued an apology soon after.

Oh and the promotion is still on of course.

But one thing was very much on the mind of true-blue Singapore sons.

Majulah Singapura.
