You might have heard about the Russian 'begpacker' that got in trouble for seemingly endangering his baby.

Warning: Potentially disturbing images ahead.

Here are some screenshots of the man swinging the child around:

Awful.

Backlash and defence

Their actions sparked intense backlash, not only from Malaysia, but almost anyone who saw the video.

With many labelling it as akin to child abuse.

The father however insisted that what they were merely practising a form of Russian yoga.

He also insisted that the baby loved it, and asked for it whenever he woke up.

Unsurprisingly, the yoga style, known as "Swinging Baby Yoga" is also considered by many to be child abuse.

With some babies even vomiting in mid-air while being swung around.

Even the Russian embassy in Malaysia condemned their actions.

Which leads us to the latest update.

Arrested

For some reason, the couple carried on with their street performances just a few days removed from being nationally chastised.

This time though, the authorities took action.

According to The Star, after receiving tonnes of reports lodged by the public, the couple were arrested during their latest street performance.

If convicted they face a sentence of up to 10 years in prison, a fine of up to RM20,000 (S$6,612), or both.

They will be remanded today.
