With Valentine's Day approaching, many people are scrambling to find the perfect bouquet (or any bouquet, actually) for their significant others.
And they don't usually come cheap.
If you're on a budget but still want to impress your girlfriend or boyfriend with some flowers, here are some places with relatively affordable bouquets.
1) Flowers and Kisses
If you're looking for something simple yet elegant, these flowers from Flowers and Kisses are perfect for you.
The Valentine's Suntiago (S$24.90), for example, features a single stalk of a sunflower nestled in a bed of baby's breath.
While the Valentine's Single Stalk Rose (S$19.90) features a red rose and a handful of baby's breath.
Delivery fee: S$5.90 for standard delivery, free self-collection at Aljunied MRT
2) Made At Mum's
Made At Mum's has a variety of Dried Bouquets (that are getting quite popular, incidentally) going for S$25.
Each bouquet measures 15 - 18cm across the top.
However, if you would like a wrapping design other than the original plastic one it comes in, you'd have to pay S$10 for classic wrapping or S$20 for Korean style wrapping.
Delivery fee:
QEXPRESS courier (2-4 working days): S$5.50
Local same day delivery: S$26
Free self-collection at Blk 14 Bedok South Avenue 2
3) Petite Fleur
As their name suggests, Petite Fleur is known for their adorable small bouquets.
The Micro Cotton Dream (S$27) has plain white cotton flowers, and customers can choose the colour of the accompanying baby's breath, such as purple, pink, blue, and even rainbow.
While this bunny-shaped bouquet from its Micro Bouquet (S$30) series is made of pom flowers and the aptly-named bunny tail flowers.
Delivery fee: S$10 for standard shipping, free self-collection at 87 Upper East Coast Road
4) Floral Passion
If you want to wow your date, Floral Passion offers an eye-catching and colourful bouquet.
It comes with a single stalk of sunflower, some rainbow gerberas, and rainbow baby's breath (S$45).
But if you prefer something more traditional, Floral Passion also has the Signature Fresh Rose Acrylic Box (S$38), which features a single rose stalk packed in an acrylic box.
For something different, you can opt for the Gold-dyed Rose, which costs (S$48) for a single stalk.
This box has nine roses, though.
Delivery fee: S$15, free self-collection at Kembangan MRT
5) Churros Factory
If the way to your Valentine's heart is through their stomach, a bouquet of churros from Churros Factory should do the trick.
The Churros Bouquet (S$38) comes with five rose-shaped churros, six original churros, and choice of two dips.
For hygiene purposes, the churros are pre-packed separately in a box along with a pair of gloves. So if you're planning to get this for your date, remember to skewer the churros and arrange them nicely into a bouquet before gifting them.
Extra effort = more appreciation.
Delivery fee: Free for orders above S$35, S$10 for CBD/Town area
6) Floral Garage
Flowers don't last long, but these preserved bouquets from Floral Garage do.
The White Fantasy (S$45) features a single preserved red rose surrounded by a mixture of cotton and wildflowers.
They also have the Marshmallow (S$45) pictured below, an elegant mixture of dried cotton plants and baby's breath.
Delivery fee: S$15 on Valentine's Day, free self-collection at Upper Serangoon Shopping Centre
