While opinions on some of McDonald's new menu items can be divided, their Chicken McNuggets, however, have all along been generally well-received.
In fact, their nuggets appear to be so well-loved that one McDonald's customer in Singapore allegedly discovered one piece of the machine-crafted fried meat bitten into when served.
Bitten nugget in sharing box
According to one Jol Loh who shared her experience on McDonald's Singapore Facebook page, she ordered a sharing box from the Suntec City branch on Jan. 17, at around 12pm.
The sharing box, which cost her S$7.90, contained chicken drumlets and nuggets.
Upon opening the box, Loh's post stated that she was "shocked" to see what she claimed was a partially eaten nugget.
This is the photo she uploaded, which showed the nugget looking less than whole with one portion bitten into or pinched off:
Here's a closer look at it:
Responding to Mothership's queries, Loh said that she discarded the nugget.
In her post, Loh mentioned that she tried calling the Suntec City branch, but no one picked up her call.
She also requested for McDonald's staff to reach out to her regarding this incident.
At approximately 10.30pm, McDonald's Singapore apologised for the incident and said that they will "look into this and get in touch" with her:

McDonald's issues clarification
On Jan. 18, McDonald's Singapore told Mothership that they have reviewed the CCTV footage at the branch and discovered that the nugget was, in fact, "accidentally chipped off when being scooped out of the food warmer".
They also stated that they have reached out to the customer to clarify and apologise for this incident.
This is their full statement:
"We’re aware of this and have reached out to the customer to clarify and apologise for causing undue concern.
Upon reviewing our restaurant CCTV footage, we can confirm that the 'missing' part of the Chicken McNugget was accidentally chipped off, when being scooped out of the food warmer by our Crew.
We would like to assure all our customers of our 100 per cent commitment to serve safe and quality food at all times."
