Come Jan. 25, 2019 there will be a new development to look forward to in the Orchard district.

61 local brands

Design Orchard is a local design showcase and incubator where shoppers can find up-and-coming homegrown brands in various lines, including fashion apparel, beauty and wellness, as well as small home furnishings.

The two and a half storey development at the junction of Orchard Road and Cairnhill Road is part of the government's ongoing efforts to transform Orchard Road into a lifestyle destination.

61 local brands

The retail showcase will be located on the first floor of Design Orchard.

Homegrown retailer Naiise will operate the retail showcase featuring 61 local emerging and established brands.

XOXOJOY is a fashion apparel brand that curates twinning outfits for parents and their children.

Clothing for the little ones and adults cost upwards of S$18 and S$33 respectively.

Pew Pew Patches

Pew Pew Patches designs and produces original iron-on and sticker patches.

They have previously worked with renowned brands including Uniqlo and VANS.

Jewels' rock sugar sticks are created by Cheng Yew Heng Candy Factory.

These rock sugar sticks come in an assortment of flavours including lemon fiesta (S$5) and bandung (S$5).

Incubators for emerging talents

Apart from being a place where local brands can flourish, Design Orchard also serves as an incubator for new and emerging talents in the lifestyle and fashion sector.

These will be available on the second floor and the rooftop.

Called The Cocoon Space, this incubator will be operated by the Textile and Fashion Federation Singapore (Taff).

Taff will be offering co-working spaces with resources such as professional sewing equipment and networking opportunities with industry players for independent designers and fashion businesses.
