On Jan. 21, the body of a man was found at the foot of a Nanyang Technological University (NTU) building.
Unnatural death
According to a Channel NewsAsia report, the 22-year-old NTU student was found motionless around 6.25am this morning (Jan. 21) at the foot of the NTU Hive building, also known as the Learning Hub.
Emergency services were called immediately, and police said that the man was pronounced dead by the paramedics at the scene itself.
The police also said that investigations are ongoing.
NTU in touch with family of deceased
In the same Channel NewsAsia report, NTU Associate Provost for Student Life Professor Kwok Kian Woon stated that they are "deeply saddened" by the incident and are currently in touch with the family of the deceased:
"We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of a precious member of the NTU family... We are in touch with the family of the deceased and NTU will do all it can to support them during this difficult time."
"In the meantime, we ask for everyone’s respect and understanding for his family and friends," Kwok added.
Currently, the university is also assisting with police investigations.
