Chinese New Year (CNY) is in a few weeks time, and some of the public transports are already decked out with CNY decorations.
Public transport decoration
From Jan. 19 onwards, some of the trains will be decorated with Zodiac motifs and other CNY elements such as cherry blossoms and gold ingots to usher in the Year of the Boar.
These CNY-themed trains were launched yesterday by MP Lily Neo, who took the train from HarbourFront to Outram Park.
Buses 80, 143, 166, 147, and 174 and MRT stations like Outram Park, Bugis, and Esplanade will also be done up in the festive theme as well.

The decoration will last till Feb. 19, 2019.

These themed trains and buses were a collaborative effort by the Land Transport Authority (LTA), Kreta Ayer – Kim Seng Citizens’ Consultative Committee and public transport operators, SBS Transit and SMRT.
