Singaporean actor Aloysius Pang passed away on Jan. 23, 2019.
According to Mindef, Pang was carrying out repair works inside the Singapore Self-Propelled Howitzer (SSPH) with two other SAF personnel on Jan. 19 at the Waiouru Training Area in New Zealand, when he sustained injuries when the gun barrel was lowered.
His death has sparked an outpouring of grief from his fellow actors and friends.
Here are some of their heartbreaking tributes.
Life can be so unfair sometimes.
@aloypang these few days, it's been hard on you.
I... can't believe this.
It's not enough to be brothers with you in this life, let's be brothers again in the next life. I love you dai lo
As a brother, you have done so much for me but you just left like that before I get to do much for you. I will miss you, brothers forever!
Brothers
https://www.instagram.com/p/Bs-8TlAFuHw/I often ask you 'why is it you again?' but actually I want to tell you, it is my greatest blessing to have worked with you so many times. Thank you for always bringing positivity to people. Will always miss you, see you again. #RIP
Heart hurts.. Wei Zhong, rest in peace!
"My heart hurts and I can’t bear to let go.
I hope you rest in peace.
We only worked together on one show, so we never got to work together much.
Once, I was on an outdoor shoot, and could not get a ride back to the TV station on time. You so thoughtfully gave me a lift even though it wasn’t on the way for you. You said it was rare that you got to have a chat with me.
You shared how you were rebellious when you were younger, and your family didn’t know how to handle you. After Dasmond Koh took you under his wing as a mentor, you were able to find yourself back on track, and even joined his company.
Through our interactions, I found you to be a sensitive, mature and sensible 25-year-old. I really like youths like yourself – serious in your work, great in acting, good attitude. Everyone had only good things to say.
Dasmond really guided you well.
I thought that we would have other opportunities to work together…
The accident was too sudden, and I know you fought your hardest. Aloysius, Rest in peace."
I will always remind your voice, your passion at work and your sincerity to people.

I got to know you through acting in the same drama. You are a sincere, earnest and loyal friend.
Good man... You left us first.
"You are a very good person. Although we have not worked together, I am honoured to have you as my friend. I will remember, and think back, to all the good times we had together. I will miss you. your brothers will carry on your legacy."

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bs-7cc0lR5o/Heaven has taken you away, maybe because it doesn't want you to suffer any more or those whom the God loves die young...
We send you off in tears...Rest in peace, there are no tears in Heaven.
Just came back to Singapore, received this piece of news. This is too sudden.
No words can describe how I feel now.
Brother, although we are not very close, we often meet on set and at events.
You are well-mannered and polite so it's always comfortable to be around you.
Your acting skills at such a young age left a very deep impression. You are definitely a strong actor.
Maybe you have a more important mission and was sent to be an angel... You have to continue your passion in acting and when we meet next time, I hope we can act together..
Rest in peace, Wei Zhong
Here's one by Hayley Woo.
"you told me how you were working hard to save money
wait until around 31 years old, then marry my sister
but I didn't have the privilege to be your sister in law in this life"
No post was more heart wrenching than the post by his girlfriend, Jayley Woo.
To my dearest,
August 24 is your birthday
January 4 is our special day
On January 24 you left me without an explanation
You only left behind your cold and hard hands
Why is it such a coincidence that my favourite number is 4
Why did you ruthlessly leave me alone behind
How could you bear to leave this world
Why did you do this to me
I’m not lucky enough to be your wife in this life
We will definitely get married in the next
I love you, I really love you
Thank you for all your care these past few years
I will always love you; please travel safe
Come visit me in my dreams, understand?
And, I will never forgive you in this life
You’ll always be a part of me, my man.
We’ll meet again in the next life, till death do us apart baby boy. ❤️
