A farewell tribute photo of a young Aloysius Pang and the late actor Huang Wenyong has been making the rounds on social media.
Huang, a veteran actor, had passed away suddenly in 2013.
The greyscale photo of the two actors in an earlier decade was cropped with the caption: "Return to Big Brother Huang's side and may you two meet again."
It was posted following news of Pang's death on Jan. 23.
The cropped image can be traced to a publicity photo taken from the 2004 series, I Love My Home.
Pang, was 13 going 14 years old at that time, while Huang, who played his father, was 52 then.
Memories working with Pang
Hong Huifang, a fellow veteran actress who played Pang's mother in the show, recounted the first time working with the child actor.
In an Instagram post, Hong recounted how she was impressed by Pang even though he was young, and the two of them had a natural chemistry that showed in the series.
Hong also said she spoke with Pang's mother extensively and in the process got to know Pang very well, and developed a good impression of him as a boy.
The show was filmed in 2003 when Pang was only 12 years old going 13 at that time -- several months before it aired in 2004.
After that series, Pang left the showbiz scene for a period of several years
It was reported that he felt alienated as a result of the public attention. But he came back to acting again at 22.
Return to showbiz
Hong also wrote that when Pang returned to acting, he was a different person who had his share of experiences and they worked again on a few other series.
They continued to click very well and had very positive vibes acting as mother and son.
The last project both of them worked on was a series called Good Luck, which started filming in September 2014 and wrapped up in two months.
It began airing on Feb. 2, 2015 with a total of 20 episodes.
This was the last time Hong was to work with Pang.
Hong said in her post that she was devastated when she first received the news of Pang's passing.
It hit her so hard her heart ached and she cried uncontrollably.
In the end, she wrote, even though she questioned why Pang was taken away at such a young age, she has come to accept it.
