In a move to be more eco-friendly, eateries like KFC and Burger King have stopped providing plastic straws for their drinks.

No more straws from Yakult

On Dec. 27, Yakult Singapore made an announcement on their Facebook page that they will be removing straws from their products, Yakult and Yakult Ace Light from end December onwards.

According to Yakult, this is part of their efforts to help protect the environment.

The cultured milk brand also shared how they can drink Yakult:

"Yakult can be consumed directly from the bottle by removing the foil cap."

Mixed reactions

The Facebook post has since garnered more than 200 shares and reactions.

A lot of Singaporeans were supportive of Yakult's move:

While some were not as pleased.

Only Yakult Singapore provides straws

The most interesting comments, however, came from those who pointed out that only Yakult in Singapore provides these tiny sippy straws.
