Very good.

If you happen to hear some loud table-slapping sounds these few days in Singapore while having your meal, please do not be alarmed.

It is actually the sound of endorsement because the deadpan, table-slapping good Wongnai Thai duo are in Singapore to film food reviews.

Thai Mo Salah/ Childish Gambino

The unmistakable duo consisting of the lanky guy with the moustache and shaggy looks, together with the Thai Mo Salah/ Childish Gambino lookalike were lately spotted by people in Singapore, who obviously couldn't help but ask them for a photo op:

If you need to refresh your memory, this duo's food review antics have become a formula -- replete with human-turning-into-the-very-food-being-eaten reenactment scene accompanied by sax music -- which have been watched millions of times over the world, and even spawning cheap rip-offs:

Singapore Tourism Board & Wongnai tie-up

Well, it turns out that the Wongnai app has tied up with the Singapore Tourism Board to promote Singapore food to Thais in a deal that was closed in June 2018.

The Wongnai app in its current form is widely used in Thailand and is based on user-generated reviews.

It features more than 200,000 restaurants, beauty and spas from all over Thailand with detailed information, real user reviews, and rewards.

So, it will probably not be long before we see Shaggy and Thai Childish Gambino reviewing Singapore food with table-slapping and sax music thrown in for good measure.

It will be interesting to see what food in Singapore they eventually take a bite out of and pick to feature, as well as how they will deliver their deadpan lines.

In the meantime, you can watch this winsome Thai woman excitedly presenting Singapore food to her audience back home:
