Is this SQ bulkhead seat a bad one? This man seems to think it is "most horrible".

Terrible or terrific seat?

Bulkhead seats are usually coveted in Economy class.

They tend to come with more legroom and there's nobody in front to recline seats back into your face.

There are drawbacks, of course.

The same seats are usually located near toilets and you can expect to find travellers with screaming babies in bulkhead rows because of the bassinets.

"Most horrible seat"

Enter "Kok".

He posted a Facebook complaint to Singapore Airlines on Dec. 18 sharing the bad experience he had in one such bulkhead seat.

He said that there was "no leg room" and that passengers and flight crew alike were stepping on his shoes.

He claimed his legs were also repeatedly hit by swinging curtains.

He called his seat 41H "a wrong place in the plane".

Here's his post:

In case you can't see what he wrote, here it is:

He also posted photographs to show the apparent lack of leg room:

No sympathy

However, netizens who saw the post were not sympathetic of Kok's "horrible seat" experience:

To defend himself, Kok showed which seat he was seated on:

And someone went through the trouble to help Kok with his case:

Is 41H really terrible?

Searching SeatGuru, the bulkhead seats on row 41 of SQ672 received a yellow "Be Aware" rating.

Good seats are giving green "Good seat" ratings, while bad ones are red "Bad seat".

Most seats in the aircraft are given a "Standard seat" rating.

Here's the review for Kok's seat:

In case you can't see the text:

"Seat 41 H is a standard Economy seat that Singapore Air designates as a "Forward Zone Seat". Forward Zone Seats enable you to be among the first in Economy Class to disembark the plane. You may select these seats in advance for free when you book a Flexi fare type. When you book a Lite or Standard fare type, there is an additional fee for this seat. The proximity to the lavatories and galley may be bothersome. Passengers traveling with infants are often seated in this row. There is no floor storage for this seat during takeoff and landing. The tray table and inflight entertainment monitor are in the armrest, making the armrest immovable and slightly reducing seat width."

Here's an unrelated but equally interesting story if you have not made plans for this weekend:
