Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) highlights cases of attempted smuggling on their Facebook from time to time.

Be it cannabis in cereal boxes.

Or these poor puppies.

It perhaps goes a long way in showing just how many people attempt to smuggle contraband items into Singapore.

The festive season is no different.

Ho Ho Hold up

On December 24, ICA uploaded a Facebook post detailing one such attempt during the festive season.

Here is the post.

The 42 year old Malaysian man apparently tried to hide the cigarettes in a variety of areas within his Malaysia-registered car on December 23.

Including the dashboard.

The door panel.

And even the front bumper.

Here's the entire haul.

The haul consisted of 162 cartons and 714 packets of duty-unpaid cigarettes.

The case, involving a 42-year-old Malaysian man, was referred to Singapore Customs.
