Former Prime Minister of Thailand Thaksin Shinawatra currently lives in exile after fleeing Thailand in 2006 to escape a jail sentence for corruption.

However, people have been catching rare glimpses of him in Singapore every now and then.

For instance, he and his sister, Yingluck, were sighted in a hotel in Singapore earlier this year.

And now, according to a Facebook post by one of Thaksin's daughters, Paetongtan Shinawatra, Thaksin appears to be back in Singapore again.

On Dec. 19, Paetongtan posted on her Facebook page, uploading two photos of her father enjoying a bowl of Thaksin Beef Noodle at a HarbourFront hawker centre.

Thaksin was accompanied by his daughter, Paetongtan, and his sister, Yingluck, also a former PM of Thailand.

Owner supposedly a fan of Thaksin

According to Paetongtan’s post, she said that the owner of the noodle stall went to Thailand 15 years ago.

The owner, who is fond of Thaksin, then supposedly named his shop after the former prime minister.

Thaksin Beef Noodle now has two outlets: One in Clementi, and the other at HarbourFront.

Much to the delight of the owner, Thaksin and his family decided to stop by the Seah Im Food Centre branch after hearing about it via social media.

In her post, Thaksin's daughter also thanked the owner for all his "love and support”.
