Readers of a certain vintage will recognise the name Ivy Lee (李錦梅).
Lee was an actress from 1993 to 2009, first with the Television Corporation of Singapore (TCS) then with Mediacorp. She left the local entertainment industry in 2009 to relocate her family to Hong Kong and has kept quite a low profile since.
The 45-year-old Lee has two daughters, Mikki and Leah Choy, and pair of twin boys, Nik and Dash Choy
Her eldest daughter, Mikki, turned 21 in October, and from Lee's Instagram photos, looks like a mini version of Lee herself:
The resemblance is not lost on Lee's Instagram followers:
Accomplished actress and household name
Lee played leading roles in more than 30 television shows in her career and went on to establish herself as a household name.
She is one of the few people to have taken home more than two Best Actress awards for her roles. The only other two actresses who achieved this are Chen Liping and Huang Biren.
Lee won Best Actress three times for her roles in 2000's Angel's Dream, 2004's Double Happiness, and 2006's Family Matters. After a 15-year acting career, Lee uprooted her family so that she could spend more time with her husband who travelled frequently.
