Following in the tradition of Singaporeans mercilessly trolling foreign entities, Facebook user Jq Grace Sim uploaded a Facebook post on October 29 showing how he took a man in Germany, Lukasz, on a more than 6 hour trollercoaster.
Enquiry
The entire incident started with a seemingly innocuous enquiry from Lukasz, a man from Germany who was interested in buying a car from Singapore that Sim had placed up for sale on Carmart.
The fact that a man in Germany thought buying a car from Singapore was the best way to acquire a car might be the most hilarious part of this whole thing.
But we digress.
Here are the conversational starters.
And for a minute it appeared that Lukasz might have gotten someone to take the bait, but the next screenshot will probably ease your mind.
I heard Puki Ma Kau is lovely this time of year.
Also, his reply is hilarious.
From Lukasz's acceptance that Singapore has an actual place called Puki Ma Kau, Sim decided to take it up several notches.
Several notches
From here on, Lukasz spouts out the typical spiel about needing some money to serve as downpayment for getting money.
It got so frustrating that Sim started to feel bad for making Lukasz wait.
Sim then took a photo of the very recognisable Singapore currency to assure Lukasz everything was fine.
So sweet of him.
Crescendo
Like any good troll, the resolution is key to the story.
For this, after hours of unsuccessfully trying to wire over some money, Sim had an ingenious plan that supersedes any known money transfer method.
Yup, you burn it.
Ta-dahhh, well done to everyone involved.
