Yuka Kinoshita is a well-known Japanese mukbang YouTuber.
If you didn't know, mukbang involves a video host eating an absurd amount of food.
Kinoshita has amassed an incredible amount of followers, with over 4.9 million subscribers on YouTube alone.
On November 7, Kinoshita, who was in Singapore for an event, uploaded her latest video where she tackled some familiar cuisine.
All the food
This is what 6,000 calories look like.
A few sticks of satay, a plate of Nasi Goreng, eight chicken wings, two plates of Chicken Rice (complete with sauce), a bowl of wanton mee, a bowl of laksa, and servings of two mango sagos.
Much like a true-blue Singaporean, when presented with a variety of food choices, she goes for the chicken rice.
And unsurprisingly loved it.
The one slight obstacle in her one-woman demolition of the food was when she accidentally poured laksa gravy into the wanton mee.
Despite that unholy combination, Kinoshita powered through.
Great job.
Just for contrast, here is Kinoshita enjoying actual Laksa a lot more.
Mention of The Merlion
In between polishing off that gargantuan amount of food, Kinoshita, who was staying in Marina Bay Sands (MBS) had time to take in the sights of the skyline.
And further the theory that Japanese people are obsessed with the Merlion.
After polishing off a few days worth of food, she had this to say about the food in Singapore.
Yay.
