The folks behind No-Signboard Seafood has come up with their first hawker-themed fast food outlet at Esplanade. Called "Hawker", the Asian fast-food concept is considered a novelty in Singapore.

Here are some interesting options that you can try a la carte or with a meal (meal sets come with regular-sized curly fries and drink):

Nasi Lemak Burger (S$9.50 a la carte, S$11.50 for meal): Chicken patty seasoned with spices and turmeric, sandwiched between coconut rice buns. Contains cucumber, fried egg, and sweet sambal chilli sauce.

Chicken Rice Burger (S$9.50 a la carte, S$11.50 for meal): White blanched chicken with sesame oil and ginger, cucumber, tomato, and Chicken Rice chilli, sandwiched between rice buns.

Signature Chilli Crab Bao (S$9.50 a la carte, s$11.50 for meal): Deep fried crab meat patty, burger slaw, sweet and savoury chilli crab sauce contained within a deep fried mantou bun.

Judging from Instagram photos and one Facebook review, the Signature Crab Bao looks rather small, so it might not be very filling if you have a big appetite:

Aside from these, you can also find Szechuan Mala Burger (S$6.50 a la carte, S$8.50 for a meal), Satay Chicken Burger (S$6.50 a la carte, S$8.50 for a meal), and Prata Wrap (S$3 a la carte, S$4 for a meal).

If you're feeling peckish, Hawker also sells sides like Fried Garlic Drumlets (S$3 for 3) and Mini Mantou with Chilli Crab Sauce (S$4.90 for 4 pieces).

More outlets opening soon

According to Today, the second outlet will open at One@KentRidge mall by end November, and another outlet will open at Paya Lebar Quarter next year. 

By end 2019, No Signboard Holdings hopes to open at least six to eight outlets. There are also plans to expand to China.

The Vice President of Hawer QSR (subsidiary of No Signboard Holdings) also told Today that future creations might include white pepper crab burger, briyani burger, and roasted chicken rice burger.
