You might have seen the fireworks set off at Race Course Road for Deepavali this year.

Here it is.

It has to be said that setting off fireworks is illegal.

According to the Dangerous Fireworks Act, no person shall have in his possession or discharge any dangerous fireworks.

If convicted of the offence of discharge of dangerous fireworks, one can jailed for up to two years and/ or fined between S$2,000 and S$10,000

In fact, a year ago, three men did the same thing in Yishun and got arrested.

And this year, that tradition apparently has continued.

Fireworks

Some Yisunites reported fireworks going off in the wee hours of the night.

The previous year's incident took place slightly earlier, at around midnight, so fireworkers are staying up later apparently.

Here are some of the videos of the purported fireworks in Yishun.
