Last year's Christmas Wonderland reminded us slightly of our beloved Pasar Malam.

But compared to a Pasar Malam, it was actually a little disappointing, considering that some programmes fell short of expectations and you had to pay an entry fee to squeeze with the masses.

This year, things might just look up, if the line-up is exciting as it sounds.

Here are the highlights:

• 22-metre high luminarie mirror maze at Supertree Grove
• 20.7-metre tall Christmas tree illuminated in gold, at the entrance of Gardens by the Bay
• Kinetic light installation from Germany
• Festive market (i.e. shopping)
• SAVOUR Gourmet Festival: Bite-sized gourmet food from S$6 
• Performance by ‘America’s Got Talent 2018’ quarterfinalist Rob Lake (who is a stage magician). Separate charges apply
• Light and sound show at the Supertree Grove
