The Real S'pore founders submit Japanese menu proposal to Changi Prison after recent stay there

Trolling or....?

The founders of now-defunct socio-political website The Real Singapore (TRS) have been nothing short of enterprising.

After their defeated editorial stint stirring nationalistic tension in Singapore for increased ad revenue, which eventually landed the couple in jail for multiple counts of sedition, they went on to open three branches of Takagi Ramen Shop (TRS) in Singapore.

"Disappointed with breakfast menu"

Now, about one year after their time in Changi Prison, the founders have formulated and submitted a business proposal to the management of the penal institution to make the case that a ramen store should open an outlet in the East there:

This was after a public vote decided the next venue for expansion.

Between Downtown East and Changi Prison, Facebook users apparently voted for the shop to be located inside a publicly inaccessible venue.

The founders told the prison management that while they "enjoyed the variety" for lunch and dinner, they were "very disappointed" with the breakfast selection:

The entrepreneurs, therefore, decided to come up with a low-cost alternative, with dishes as cheap as S$0.07 per serving:

The menu, of course, is Japanese, seeing that both founders are ramen shop owners.

Sunday's menu is mad extravagant, to make up for the fact that recreational facilities are allegedly closed on weekends:

Suspected trolling

Some responses to the proposal suspect that the couple might be trolling:

While others were encouraging:

 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
