Here's how to tell if your SG Bonus message is legitimate or a scam

"SG BONUS FOR YOU!!!!!" is probably fake.

You might have gotten this message recently.

 

Or this:

Well, congratulations, you've got S$200 or S$300. Or perhaps, if you're really earning that much money, S$100.

Here's how you can tell the difference according to our government:

1) Sender is 'SG-Bonus' or 'SGBonus'

2) SMS/Website will not ask for information from you

3) URL to view more details/sign up for SG Bonus starts with "https://www.singaporebudget.gov.sg"

Also if a government message starts with "SG bonus for you" and ends with an exclamation mark, you might want to double check the source before clicking on any link.
