Within one day, Singapore has reached peak URL redirect.

Step 1

At first, nusrejects.com started to get redirected to the home page of Nanyang Technological University (ntu.edu.sg):

And then, in a tit-for-tat move, nturejects.com is redirected to the home page of National University of Singapore (nus.edu.sg).

Step 3

Expanding the circle of tertiary rejects, smurejects.com then got dragged into the mix and is redirected to the Prudential website.

Step 4

Not wanting to leave out other tertiary institutions in Singapore, sussrejects.com appeared and is redirected to suss.edu.sg.

Major plot twist here.

Step 5

As the redirect meme game got stronger over the course of the day, one eventuality finally emerged -- which is not to say no one saw it coming.

Now, safrejects.com is getting redirected to smrt.com.sg.

This higher tier inside joke is visually more recognisable if represented this way:

As with all memes, this URL redirect one-upmanship is going to snowball for a while more before dying out.
