This year marks the sixth Purple Parade.
If you didn't know, the Purple Parade is a movement in Singapore celebrating the abilities of persons with special needs, as well as to promote inclusivity and awareness.
The initiative is driven by the Central Singapore Community Development Council (CDC).
Yes, even Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong gave his support.
Purple landmarks in support of special needs community
You might have known about the usual programme -- a marching contingent and carnival at Suntec City, which was held on Oct. 27, 2018.
But what's special about this year's Purple Parade is the fact that 28 landmarks in Singapore have been lit up in support of the occasion.
These includes iconic sky scrapers, post-independence architecture, hospitals and bridges from olden days. according to the Purple Parade website.
